Job Description

The successful candidate will teach English courses and collaborate with other faculty members to carry out tasks related to the implementation and management of the English curriculum. They will also be involved in:

• 雷速体育_中国足彩网￥在线直播, development, evaluation, and improvement of the English education programs
• Additional work at the Center for Culture and Language Education and the Institute for Excellence in Higher Education

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in English education or a related field, or equivalent qualifications
• Extensive experience in teaching English language at the university level
• Necessary educational experience and research achievements to fulfill the responsibilities described above
• Enthusiasm and ability to effectively and collaboratively advance English language education reform
• Ability to teach all levels of classes, and in principle, be available to teach during any time slot
• High-level proficiency in Japanese is preferred, regardless of the applicant's country of origin

   For research achievements, please divide them into books, journal articles, conference presentations, and others. Clearly indicate whether each item was peer-reviewed. Journal articles should be divided into peer-reviewed and non-peer-reviewed, with numbers assigned to each group. A "peer-reviewed article" refers to a highly reliable paper that has undergone evaluation by experts in the same field, and has been recognized for its academic quality, originality, and the validity of the research methods. For educational achievements, please list the course titles, universities, teaching periods, number of class hours for each course, the levels taught, etc.
3. Reprints of three major research papers selected from the list (2) above
   Include summaries of the papers (around 300 letters in Japanese).
4. Statement 1: "Your specific thoughts on the research theme you wish to pursue at Tohoku University, including its background and its educational significance."
   Approximately 2000 characters in Japanese, or 1500 words in English.
5. Statement 2: "A practical discussion on the necessary perspectives and key considerations for creating effective EGAP English teaching materials."
   Approximately 2000 characters in Japanese, or 1500 words in English.
6. One letter of recommendation
7. The name, affiliation, and contact information of an additional individual who can provide insight into your qualifications, separate from the recommender
8. If Japanese is not your first language, please submit a copy of your score certificate from the Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) or an equivalent exam, if available.
